NZ Duties of Directors set for major change: What will this mean?

Dr Duncan Webb’s bill was chosen for selection to be considered by Parliament and it is major news – well, for those of us who want to see more purpose for our companies, it is major news.

I also wrote an opinion piece for Stuff on 29 September 2021 explaining why it is important to understand the proposed changes and what they might signal for the future as well as ways that the proposed amendments to Director Duties might be further enhanced with tweaks. In fact – could the changes be strengthened so NZ becomes a world leader in this area?
